Basket of Hope ~ in Memory of Shaun La Macchia

CN Guidance & Counseling Services will hold a charity raffle event, called the Basket of Hope, to support its mission of helping L­­ong Islanders fight substance use and mental health issues. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Nicky’s on the Bay, in Bay Shore. The staggerin­­g effects of the local opioid crisis have affected everyone in one way or another. The Basket of Hope event will be a wonderful opportunity for Long Islanders to help in this fight, while enjoying an evening of raffles, food and fun. The event will be held in memory of Shaun La Macchia, who tragically lost his life due to an overdose. His sister, Lisa La Macchia, is spearheading the Basket of Hope, to remember Shaun’s life while helping others who experience the same challenges he faced.
